Competent from Standing to the Ground
Jiu Jitsu is an ancient Japanese fighting art developed centuries ago and translates as 'the gentle way'. We take the principles from this ancient art and practice without the gi for an effective approach to modern self defense and fitness. By combining both traditional and no-gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Fight & Heal training covers the essential techniques for smooth transitions from standing to the ground. Learn the best way to take down and submit your opponent without causing injury to your own body.
You will learn the escapes, basic holds, and controls in each of the basic positions: mount, side control, guard, back control, stand up.
Learn to evade takedowns, escape holds, duck under, arm drag, and understand at least 3 key takedowns.
Understand how to execute these key submissions from any position: arm bar, kimura/shoulder lock, wrist lock, triangle, sleeper choke, guillotine, darce, foot lock, heel hook.
